How to Prepare for a Junk Pickup

Before the crew arrives

• Separate everything that must stay
• Group approved items where practical
• Clear a safe route to doors, stairs or driveway
• Disclose pets, gates, snow, ice and parking restrictions
• Disconnect approved appliances from utilities
• Keep hazardous and prohibited items separate

Show the access path

Photos should show the items and the route from the items to the pickup vehicle, including stairs, elevators, narrow doors, low ceilings, long carries and fragile finishes.
